Handcrafted Wooden Hat Rack
Design, joinery, and fabrication of a custom wooden hat rack with an accompanying build process showcase.
Project Overview & Craftsmanship
Designed in the shape of an "F" (for Fedio), this handcrafted wooden hat rack combines strong graphic geometry with traditional woodworking. I milled and assembled the structure using solid lumber with dowels positioned to securely hold hats while preserving their shape.
Special focus went into the joinery, grain orientation, and chamfered edge profiling. The piece was finished with multiple hand-applied coats of rich dark stain and polyurethane to highlight the high-contrast natural wood grain.

The "F" Hat Rack (Mounted)
The finished hat rack mounted and displayed. The framing of the back is around 3/4" thick, giving a clean "F" silhouette and an illusion of it floating off the wall.
